Town sights and small witch figurines

The guided tour starts at the Town Hall on the Market Square and lasts 75 minutes. It takes in the town’s sights. The fixed starting point and stated duration give the tour a clear timeframe, making it easy to include this sightseeing tour as a separate item in your itinerary.

Another distinctive feature is the small witch figurines, which have been installed around Strzelce Krajeńskie since 2016. There are currently nine figurines in the town. They were created by Marek Stankiewicz, a sculptor from Kraków. Those interested in sculpture and individual details in the townscape can discover the town in a different way than by taking the guided tour of its sights.

The sixth figurine stands by Jezioro Górne and depicts a female cyclist. Its theme links to the town’s cycling options, although the figurine itself does not have to be part of any particular route. Together with the total of nine figurines, it is a distinctive detail to look out for as you explore the town.

Choose cycling and hiking routes by length

For cycling trips, the 14.5-kilometre Dankowski Szlak starts in Strzelce Krajeńskie. A 28-kilometre circular cycling and hiking route to Długie also starts here. Their lengths and different descriptions make it easier to compare the options by the distance you have in mind and whether you would like to cycle or use a route on foot and by bike.

A longer nature route is the 38-kilometre Szlakiem Rezerwatów circular trail. It also starts in Strzelce Krajeńskie and covers the southeastern part of Puszcza Gorzowska and the Wilanów, Przyłężek and Buki Zdroiskie nature reserves. Its length and the specifically named nature reserves set it apart from the two shorter cycling or cycling and hiking routes.

When deciding, you can use these specific differences as a guide: at 14.5 kilometres, Dankowski Szlak is the shortest of the three routes listed. The route to Długie can be used for both cycling and hiking, while the 38-kilometre circular trail passes through the southeastern part of Puszcza Gorzowska and includes three nature reserves. This gives you a choice of different route lengths and descriptions when planning your trip.
