The green Aleksandra Wachniewska Trail runs from Zwierzyniec via Tereszpol Kukiełki to Florianka. The red Krawędziowy Hiking Trail runs through the Tereszpol-Kukiełki area. Wooden Chapels and Historic Architectural Forms
The wooden column chapel is listed in the local register of monuments; a municipal strategy for 2023–2030 dates it to the end of the 19th century. A wooden wayside chapel dates from the beginning of the 20th century and has a square floor plan and a gabled roof clad in sheet metal. A municipal monument description dated March 17, 2023, notes that a wooden wayside chapel in Tereszpol-Kukiełki contains an image of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa, as well as figures of the Virgin Mary and saints. A wooden residential house from the late 19th or early 20th century has also been preserved. The construction date, floor plan, and roofing material offer specific points of reference for exploring the architecture; the chapel’s furnishings add religious imagery.
Crosses, Chapels, and Remembrance
The 2024 municipal heritage preservation program lists further stone and wooden monuments: a five-part stone figure, above which a stone cross with a metal crucifix stands on a four-sided column, as well as a tall wooden cross with arms ending in octahedrons. Another wooden cross depicts the crucified Christ beneath a semicircular, serrated sheet-metal canopy. There is also a stone wayside shrine topped by a stone cross. The use of both wood and stone, along with the different cross forms and roofs, gives each of these architectural and commemorative features its own characteristics.
An obelisk in Tereszpol-Kukiełki commemorates the breakout of part of the partisan forces from an encirclement by German occupying troops during the anti-partisan Operation “Sturmwind II” on June 23, 1944. This remembrance is tied to a specific day and a particular episode from the occupation period. This historical point of interest differs from the chapels and crosses, which are notable for their architectural forms, materials, and religious imagery.
