Chałupki is shaped by a documented pottery tradition dating back to the 16th century. The craft reached its peak in the 20th century, when almost 70 workshops operated there.

The Ośrodek Tradycji Garncarstwa in Chałupki preserves the town’s pottery heritage. On display are vessels and clay figurines made by local masters.

Visitors to the pottery centre can see an original two-chamber kiln and traditional workshop tools. They can also follow the pottery-making process with a museum curator from a pottery-making family.
