Water sports at the SurfSchool
The SurfSchool offers windsurfing and sailing lessons in Warchaly for beginners and advanced learners, as well as for children and adults. Lessons are available individually or in small groups. The windsurfing training area is located in an extensive shallow-water area. Beginners and children can learn to windsurf there and develop their skills on the board without losing contact with the bottom. The shallow water is therefore a specific feature for learning to windsurf; sailing lessons are the other sport offered.
Customers of the SurfSchool can use a private beach, access to the water over a sandy bottom, a relaxation area called “chillzone”, a surf bar and a toilet at the Warchaly base. Facilities and access conditions may change; confirm the current arrangements directly with the operator.
Fishing and holiday homes by the lake
Fishing is possible on the lake, and there are numerous wooden fishing jetties along the shores. Compared with windsurfing and sailing lessons, this is a different focus on the water: fishing is the main activity here, and the jetties are a specific feature of the shoreline.
Holiday homes can be rented on both sides of the lake. Choosing which side of the shore to stay on is a practical starting point for your search. Compare the location of each home and check current availability directly with the provider before finalising your trip, as availability may change.
More activities and getting your bearings
The SurfSchool is in Warchaly; the Hunters Paintball Team offers team events and canoe trips nearby. The activities also differ in format: paintball is designed as a team event, while canoe trips are another type of activity. If you are planning a tour or event, check the current offerings directly with Hunters, as they may change.
Narty is near the lake at Warchaly, while Jedwabno is a few kilometres farther away. This gives you a relative sense of the location of a place near the lake compared with one farther away.
As part of the road project in Warchaly, a section was lit and a foot and cycle path was built for its 2022 opening. The lighting and path therefore reflect the status of the project at that time.
The Simbiosa Festival, announced for Warchaly from 10 to 14 June 2026, was planned to feature themed areas with talks, workshops and concerts.
