Culture and history

The Roman Catholic parish of Saint Hyacinth in Będziemyśl was founded on July 27, 1927, and belongs to the Diocese of Rzeszów and the Rzeszów Zachód deanery.

The parish church in Będziemyśl was built in 1919–1921 in the Neo-Gothic style by the architect Franciszek Stążkiewicz and contains three Baroque paintings from the late 17th and early 18th centuries.

Near the church stands a stone figure of Saint John of Nepomuk from the 18th century. Its pedestal bears the Pilawa-Potocki coat of arms and the years 1618 and 1698.

The history of Będziemyśl has been documented since 1409. Historically, the village was owned by several noble families, including Sopichowski, Jordan, Prusikowski, Hink, Potocki, Konarski and Morski.
