Culture and history

The regional room in Rąb was established by the Kashubian cultural association “Na Kraju.” The regional room displays everyday objects from earlier generations.

The archaeological remains in Rąb include burial grounds with cist graves. Five archaeological sites were recorded during archaeological investigations. Four of the documented sites are remains of burial grounds of the Pomeranian population. The fifth documented archaeological site contains the remains of stone barrows that probably date from the transitional period between the Bronze Age and the early Iron Age.

The C-390 barrow cemetery contains two partially preserved stone barrows of unknown chronology. The C-417 flat grave cemetery dates from the early Iron Age.

Geographical location

There is a bus stop called “Rąb Izba Regionalna” on municipal road G8.1 between Pomieczyno and Rąb.

Cycling

Rąb lies along the route of the signposted blue cycling route Błękitna Trasa Rowerowa. The Błękitna Trasa Rowerowa passing through Rąb is connected with Kaszuby, the Kaszubski Park Krajobrazowy and the Pojezierze Kaszubskie.
