The “Wrzos” folklore ensemble was founded in 1998 and is associated with the neighbouring Sołectwa of Woskrzenice Duże and Woskrzenice Małe. The Polish term Sołectwo refers to a local village administrative unit; the ensemble’s connection to both neighbouring units makes its ties to the area clear. Its members developed and performed the ritual theatre piece “Wieczory przy kądzieli”. The piece won first prize at the Powiatowy Przegląd Teatrów Obrzędowych in Drelów.
Wrzos’s traditions also included weaving harvest wreaths. The members presented them at the municipal harvest festival. Ritual theatre and harvest wreaths offer different perspectives: one is a staged work, the other a handmade contribution to a festival.
