Two specific themes shape Józefosław: the recreation area on Wenus Street and information boards about local history. Recreation and the presentation of local history thus stand alongside one another as distinct themes. In addition, routes in the wider Piaseczyński destination offer further points of reference for planning.

The recreation area on Wenus Street

At the beginning of August 2025, a recreation area of more than 5,000 m² was made available to the residents of Józefosław on Wenus Street. The area includes a playground, walking paths and a cycle path, as well as a recreational area with benches and loungers. Different uses are thus brought together in one place: paths for exercise sit alongside places to sit and rest, while the playground rounds out the facilities.

The design is also part of the area's character. The blue-green infrastructure is complemented by numerous plantings of trees, shrubs and flowers. The combination of paths, places to relax and greenery makes the area a clearly identifiable local focal point. When planning your trip, it is helpful to distinguish this recreation theme from the historical information boards found at several locations in Józefosław.

Local history at several locations

The project “Ścieżka historyczna Józefosławia” was carried out in cooperation with the Józefosław library branch and the “Ciąg Dalszy Nastąpi” association. Information boards about local history are located at the entrance to the park on Ogrodowa Street, at the trellis on Cyraneczki Street and on Osiedlowa Street by the art gallery. At frequently visited points, the boards also display old maps of the village and a brief historical overview. The maps provide a spatial reference, while the overview gives a concise account of local history.

Information boards have also been installed at old houses that have survived from the time of the first German settlers. The QR codes on the boards link to detailed information about the project and individual historical sites. If you plan to use this content while out and about, check whether the QR links can be accessed.

A library description from 2021 also mentions the square on Cyraneczki Street and describes a bench for sitting and resting, as well as open-air exhibitions at the trellises. If you are planning specifically to visit an exhibition, check the dates in advance.

Hiking routes in the wider Piaseczyński destination

Several hiking trails described in the wider Piaseczyński destination differ in length and route. The 10-kilometre Chojnowski szlak zabytków przyrody passes through the Chojnów, Pilawski Grąd and Uroczysko Stephana nature reserves. The 28-kilometre Szlak Południkowy runs through the Chojnowskie forests: from Piaseczno railway station via Zalesie Dolne, Górki Szymona, Zimne Doły, Zalesie Górne, the Łoś nature reserve and Nowy Prażmów to Prażmów. The 30-kilometre Szlak rezerwatów przyrody connects Zalesie Górne and Zimne Doły with the Uroczysko Stephana, Chojnów, Obory, Skarpa Oborska, Olszyna Łyczyńska and Łęgi Oborskie nature reserves, as well as Konstancin-Jeziorna; it then continues on to Ursynów. The stated lengths make the routes easy to compare: they are 10, 28 and 30 kilometres long.

The offer in Chojnowski Landscape Park includes seven marked hiking trails and a network of educational paths for pedestrians and cyclists. A specific visitor rule applies to its eleven nature reserves: they may only be visited via existing paths and marked hiking trails.
