Culture

The roadside chapel of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1933; on September 6, 1933, it was established as a public chapel. Under number A-796, the roadside chapel built in 1933 is entered in the monument register; the register entry is dated April 21, 2008. The roadside chapel belongs to Roman Catholic sacred architecture.

The Chapel of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was canonically established as a public chapel on January 20, 1953.

Władysław Jędruszuk, regarded as the first bishop of the Diocese of Drohiczyn, was born in the village of Lipno on November 19, 1918. The first written references to Lipno date back to the 15th century.
