Wschowa’s historic character is connected to its former role as a border fortress. A large part of the old town has been preserved and includes monumental buildings.

Location and travel

Wschowa is located in the eastern part of today’s Lubusz region, near the borders with Wielkopolska to the east and Lower Silesia to the south. The town can be reached via National Road 12, which connects Wschowa directly with Leszno and Głogów. The town also has a railway station.
