Jodłów (Jodlow) offers several reasons to visit for cycling, hiking and culture. The cycling routes range from a measured singletrack loop to a route to the border crossing and an MTB trail with signposts. For hiking, you can choose between a nature trail and a hike with a stated walking time. The Baroque Church of St. John the Baptist (św. Jana Chrzciciela) adds a historical dimension.

Cycling: routes with different details

The Ostoja singletrack loop is 13.9 kilometres long and has an elevation gain of 311 metres. The loop includes two difficult sections over roots and rocks. It can be ridden with children; the difficult sections, totalling about 400 metres, are better covered on foot.

A red cycling route runs through Jodłów and continues to the Jodłów–Horní Morava border crossing. The Glacensis Jodłów singletrack is described as an MTB trail with signposts. The named cycling routes therefore provide different kinds of guidance: for Ostoja, the length, elevation gain and difficult sections are specified; for the red route, the course to the border crossing is given; and for the singletrack, the signposting is noted. When planning, it is helpful not to treat these details as a single, uniform route profile.

Hiking between a nature trail and a long trek

The “Kraina leśnych ciekawostek” nature trail runs from Jodłów to Trójmorski Wierch and is about four kilometres long. It was renewed in 2024. Using the Międzylesie Forest District (Nadleśnictwo Międzylesie) as an example, it introduces forestry and the main forms of nature conservation. The trail thus combines a specific distance with a subject to discover along the way.

Another hiking route runs from Międzylesie via Jodłów to Mały Śnieżnik, at 1,318 metres, and the Hala pod Śnieżnikiem mountain hut. The stated walking time for this route is eight hours. The two descriptions help with different planning questions: the approximate distance is the focus for the nature trail, while the route via Mały Śnieżnik is described by its stated walking time and the sequence of destinations. This lets you plan your hiking around the time available without treating the details for the two routes as equivalent.

A Baroque church with a long history

The Church of St. John the Baptist (św. Jana Chrzciciela) in Jodłów was built in 1756 to replace a wooden church dating from 1590. Its history at this site therefore predates the current building. Including the church in your travel plans adds a distinct cultural highlight alongside cycling and hiking. A prior telephone appointment is required to visit the interior.

Whether you plan to spend your days cycling, hiking or visiting cultural sights, Jodłów offers specific destinations and different kinds of guidance. If you are looking for a hotel in Jodlow, these interests can provide a starting point for choosing your destination.
