Przeźmierowo can be explored through several specific themes: the history of the Parish of Saint Anthony of Padua, the skatepark on the Orlik grounds and Tor Poznań. For your travel planning, local history, a clearly named recreational facility and motorsport history are all on offer. The dates range from the first services in a wooden chapel to the opening of the racetrack; Tor Poznań also involves a status question tied to a particular point in time.

Church History in Three Stages

The first religious site in Przeźmierowo was a wooden chapel. From June 1937, services were held there for around 300 parishioners. The timeline therefore begins at a specific place of worship and later leads to the establishment of a parish.

The Parish of Saint Anthony of Padua in Przeźmierowo was established on 1 August 1957 by Archbishop Antoni Baraniak. The new church in Przeźmierowo was consecrated on 13 November 2007 by Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki. Around seven decades separate the start of services from the consecration; between them, the establishment of the parish stands as a milestone in its own right.

For travelers interested in history, this sequence is informative because it distinguishes three different events: services in the wooden chapel, the establishment of a parish and the consecration of a new church. The chronology from 1937 through 1957 to 2007 provides a clear framework for the local history without conflating all the stages into a single founding date.

Skatepark on the Orlik Grounds

A skatepark is located on the Orlik grounds in Przeźmierowo and opened in October 2012. Its features include grind boxes, manual pads, jump ramps, London gaps, hubbas and walls, as well as walls, ramps, handrails and rails. The combination of specialist terms such as London gaps and hubbas with more familiar features such as ramps and walls helps put the obstacles into context, even if not every term is familiar.

If skateboarding is one of your interests, you can make the skatepark a focus of your travel plans. Its opening in October 2012 dates the facility but says nothing about access today. Check access before making a visit part of your fixed plans.

Tor Poznań: History and Visit Planning

Tor Poznań was officially opened on 1 December 1977. A report by the Polish Ministry of Sport dated 22 April 2026 stated that, on 31 March 2026, the Chief Inspectorate for Environmental Protection had upheld the decision of 31 October 2023 to suspend the use of Tor Poznań in Przeźmierowo. The same report said that the racetrack would remain open following joint measures.

The report therefore describes an operating status at a particular point in time, not a guarantee for the dates of your trip. If visiting Tor Poznań is important to your plans, check current access before making it a fixed part of your itinerary.
