Culture and History

The wooden Church of St. Lawrence and St. Andrew in Baranów was built in 1732, funded by Anna Śleżyńska, Deputy Treasurer of Łuków. The Church of St. Lawrence in Baranów has a late-medieval Renaissance pulpit dating from around 1640, an organ from the 18th century, and three side altars dating from around 1640. Its late-Baroque main altar dates from 1785 and is decorated with sculptures of St. John of Nepomuk and an unknown bishop, as well as a painting of the Adoration of the Christ Child.
