The story of a former resident of the manor house in Warszówek adds to the historical context of the Pawłów municipality: land judges of the Kielce Governorate lived there. They included Aleksander Gut, a magistrate in Bodzentyn and Kielce. Earlier, he had managed Leo Tolstoy’s estates at Yasnaya Polyana in Russia. His biography thus connects the history of the house with several different places and roles.
The Park and Granary in Pokrzywnica
The park in Pokrzywnica is also part of the historical context of the Pawłów municipality: at around six hectares, it forms the main part of the settlement and is a remnant of the former manor estate. A preserved two-storey brick granary stands on the edge of the park in the centre of the village. A date above its door indicates the year 1866. The park also contains a fire-pit circle at the former site of the manor house.
