Famous British artists Coldplay, whose albums are sold in millions all over the world, confirmed the information about a big concert in Warsaw.

British rock group Coldplay started in 1996 in the University College London dormitory, where the future lead singer Chris Martin studied history, guitarist Jonny Buckland - astronomy and mathematics, bassist Guy Berryman studied engineering, and drummer Will Champion was interested in anthropology.

Coldplay became successful in 2000 after the release of the album Parachutes, which included the single Yellow, which blew up UK and US charts and became one of the most popular songs of the year. Since then more than 50 million Coldplay albums were sold worldwide.

According to the Polske Radio, Coldplay concert will be held on September 1, 2012 at the Polish National Stadium in Warsaw. Warsaw concert will be the second Coldplay performance in Poland, and this time will be a part of the European tour in support of the new album Mylo Xyloto.

For the first time Coldplay visited Warsaw in 2011, where it took part in one of the most popular annual music festivals Heineken Open'er Festival, which in recent years become a symbol of Poland.
