Summer is not just a time of holidays, relaxation and solar bliss, but also the countless variety of festivals for every taste, taking place in every corner of Europe. One of them is an amazing festival "Dragon Parade", which will be held this weekend in Krakow.

Krakow in a very special way is connected with the symbol of dragon. Each child in Krakow can tell you that dragons lived in a cave under the famous Wawel castle. Then one day an evil dragon decided to make a deadly spree and eat all animals and people he had met on the way. To destroy the evil plan of the dragon, cunning shoemaker invented an insidious plan. Not far from the lair of an evil dragon he left peacefully grazing sheep, filled with deadly gray. Evil fire-breathing dragon devoured the poor sheep and exploded.

Every year in Krakow is held a bright distinctive festival filled with fun, joy and dragons. The current parade of dragons dedicated to the legendary dragons of the Wawel Castle in Krakow will be held for the jubilee tenth time. Crowds of fans from Poland and various corners of Europe will gather in Krakow to make from the grotesque character an amazing parade – Dragon Parade.

The parade, consisting of more than 40 fantastic figures of dragons, created by children will be held on the boulevards of Krakow on 5 June around midday. The thrilling action will be attended by more than 1000 children from kindergartens, schools and childcare centers. Visitors can vote for the dragon they liked most.

Within two days, on 5 and 6 of June on the banks of the Vistula River will be held exciting dragon family picnics. Visitors of the festival will also be able to see the knight tournament and learn about court etiquette.

In addition to the grand dragon show festival visitors will find numerous surprises, exciting competitions, quizzes and riddles about the cultural heritage of Poland, as well as performances, concerts and breathtaking attractions. In the evening guests of the Dragon Parade can watch spectacular laser show and colorful fireworks.
