Wroclaw celebrates New Horizons Cinema Festival
Wroclaw, full of summer sun and numerous tourists, celebrates one of the most outstanding cultural events of current summer – “New Horizons” cinema festival (Era Nowe Horyzonty). The festival will host more than 500 presentations of different films, music performances and art exhibitions of works from all over Europe.
Current Arts Festival "New Horizons" promises to its visitors the brightest program filled with unique performances and international hits. During the festival will be held films competition, which will be divided into such categories as "films about art," "modern Polish cinema", "European debut". The participants will compete for the Grand Prix of the festival "International New Horizons", the winner of which will not gain European fame, but will be awarded with 20,000 euros.
At the festival will be presented works of such famous stars as Daniel Szczechura, Laura Mulvey, the Quay Brothers, Jean-Luc Godard and Wojciech Jerzy Has. Along with world’s celebrities visitors of "New Horizons" will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the modern Turkish cinema.
The musical part of Arts Festival "New Horizons" will be represented by such famous names as Chrome Hoof, Daedelus, Telepathe, King Midas Sound, Gonjasufi, Konono No 1 and Cooly G. Highlight of the musical program will be a performance of old Italian songs performed by Mike Patton and the opera of the Dutch composer Michel van der Aa «Aa's The Book of Disquiet».
Free movie screenings are held daily at the main market square in Wroclaw. Accommodation in hotels and apartments in Wroclaw can be booked online on www.poland-vacations.com. The festival will be closed on August 1.

Prices for accommodation in Poland continue to fall
Polish real estate market is experiencing another phase of decrease. According to the Polish Radio, in the third quarter of 2011 prices for apartments, houses and other types of real estate property in Poland decreased by 1.5% compared with the price level for the same period in 2010.
