Euro 2012: England will stay in a Krakow hotel
England football team have chosen the place of accommodation for the final stage of the European Football Championship, which will be held in Poland and Ukraine in 2012. The team has booked a hotel in the heart of the old Polish city of Krakow.
England will accommodate in the Hotel Stary, which is located at a stone's throw from the main square of Krakow, according to the Guardian. The cost of hotel rooms starts from 200 Euros. Considering such high level of the team it is a five star hotel.
Hotel Stary was the golden mean for the English team. Active center of Krakow with clubs and discos will be combined with relative privacy of the hotel. It should be noted that twice in the final stages of the world competitions England chosen hotels with quite unsuccessful location.
In 2006 the English lived in the heart of Baden-Baden - the famous German resort, which turned out to be too noisy. Then, England decided to stay in a rural hotel near the town of Rustenburg during the World Cup in South Africa. But it was too secluded, so the players could choose only dinner or sleep for recreation.
In addition to the hotel in Krakow it is also became known the location of the training field for the English team. It will be the city stadium in Gutnik.
One of the possible disadvantages of Krakow for the English could be air traffic. Thus, it is possible that the team will have to travel long distances for the matches. So, in order to take part in the match in Donetsk the team will make cover more than 1,000 kilometers. Either way, Krakow promises to suit the players as today it is one of the most popular cities in Poland among the tourists from the Albion.
